The history of the computer  ASUS r1e

The computer bought in the middle of June, 2008. The package contained a computer (tablet r1e), a BlueTooth mouse and a computer case.

 

  • Next day the mouse stopped working.
  • The Asus service refused to consider this case, since “the mouse was free and is not supported by a guarantee”. They advised mi to go to the seller (30 km far from me, through the city). The second solution was to go to the post-office or to buy a good Logitech  mouse. The Asus mouse was “recycled”.
  • In October the hard disk exhibited „bad sectors”. The computer was sent to the service,  NMC - PE Polska Sp. z o.o., ul. Wąwozowa 15, 75-339 Koszalin, Poland, (it repairs Asus computers for a half of Europe) and the disk was replaced. After a week a courier gave the package back. The system, all applications and own files were to be installed from the beginning again.
  • Since the beginning the computer exhibited a strange feature: suddenly switched off during startup. Once the MS Windows registry file was damaged and the problem was grown to be transferred to Service.
  • January 14 the computer returned. In two parts. The plastic cover of DVD was laying separately. The Asus service advisor proposed me to send the computer to the Service once again. I convinced the service advisor that the cover can be sent to me and I can use the product in the meantime. However, it occurred that  the computer switches off all the time. In the Service NMC - PE Polska NOTHING WAS DONE. For the third time the computer was shipped to Koszalin.

·        The computer sent to service January 14 at 14:00. It returned to me January19, 2009, however without the plastic cover of DVD at all (see picture).

Asus proposed me to send the computer to the Service „in exception”. After a call “in exception” the cover will be sent to me. “Exceptionally” means that if the computer will be returned with a serious damage, for example without a screen, I will have to repair it myself. Why? Because it is a „mechanical damage” (registered call soon).

It is January 20. I wait for a decision of Asus in Warsaw..

The service sent me a lacking cover and Asus – a supplementary guarantee for 6 months.

January 24. It is interesting. The computer switches off during startup.
