The importance of microfluidics as an interdisciplinary technology is increasing, and its several applications can be found in the areas of diagnostics, drug research, bio-technology, electronics and chemical industry. We aim to give short a microfluidics survey, to evaluate the importance of microfluidics to industry and research, describe our preliminary experience is solving problems involving microfluidic techniques, and finally to look for the perspective involvment of our Department in the future projects.
