Non-Fickean diffusion processes

In this presentation we consider the non-Fickean diffusion processes in a binary mixture. In this model the diffusive flux is not governed by Fick's law, it obeys an evolution equation, derived from partial balance momenta. One shows that the linear Fick model can be recovered as an asymptotic limit of the non-Fickean diffusion model. The structure of the strong detonation wave in the classical Chapman-Jouget theory of the combustion is also investigated.
